Heaven delight or Hellish nightmare?

Have you ever wondered into the strangest of certain films? Particularly how they portray certain things, like heaven or hell. Does it exist kids? Hollywood filmmakers and producers are very articulate in this category, sending us into a inner struggle, the existential type, if you know what I'm saying. All I have to say is that, is this what we are showing our younger kids, they are the next generations to come. Is our view of heaven or hell less than idyllic, for real. More on the wild side? I think we need to start taking things a bit more lightly, So I've decided to blog about this, because I have a daughter here. I don't want to bring any discord into her brain. Media has already been frolicking with my on ideas of a land full of myrrh or a place that is essentially in constant chaos. Let's just put it simply. Being humans, and being from this earth, are we really buying this stuff of ahem, Adam & Eve? I mean Eve was our, like, momma? I could easily say, althou

Bean Bamboozled

Funny guy Mr. Bean, isn't he? I just realized how comical this actor is. Is he ever angry? Except for the whimsically wicked faces that makes he on stage, he is not a guy to get easily mad or hung over any topic. I bet you he was a wicked spoiled brat as a kid. However, in today's time and age everybody loves him. And every kid in history loves Mr. Bean. I mean after all how serious could it get after watching him? How serious could you be if you had to interview him? I would laugh at him the whole time. Did you know that the actual actor Rowan Atkinson is an electrical engenieer who extraordinarily mocks himself by saying and I quote: that he is a "child in a grown man's get up". Bean rarely speaks and he usually is followed by beautiful chaos every place he enters, or whenever he interacts with a person. He is just such a clumsy character, but I do have to recognize that he does make you laugh like there's no end to it. I wonder sometimes what was his childh

Before I fall: Acclaimed movie & Novel.

Image
Zooey Dutsch is a brand new, girl-next-door emerging, famous actress. You might have been in close proximity to her beautiful face sort of speak, in movies like Before I fall & The Set up. Now streaming in Netflix, c'mon you had to see those? They are major titles in the Netflix clique. She is also taken part in Ed Sheeran's latest music video, aside from that you ask? she is a famous model, is there anything she can't do? I think not! Zooey's repertoire & acting style is unique. If you are familiar with her roles as Samantha in Before I fall, a movie which was based on a novel, you will see that her characteristics are not necessarily the ultimate Bond girl fantasy, she doesn't have the self-aggrandizing qualities of the typical Hollywood celebrities. But she is an enigma, Zooey or Samantha does have an intriguing aspect about her personality, in which I feel her true uniqueness comes to shine, and probably came to earn her a spot in those two major trendin

The people who matter the most in my life.

I've decided I will keep this short today, I will only leave you with a question, who are the people who matter the most to you my friends? Think about it. <3

Post delayed because of illness :(

Image
I woke up today with a cough, I have been sick all day long. How are you doing, my friends? Where are you right now? I'm feeling like everybody is off trying to accomplish something lately. How do you guys take it easy. I love playing the ukelele. It's a small string instrument, like a tiny guitar. I also feel like Christmas is around the corner, don't you my friends? I am so excited to see Santa this year, because last year I missed out big time my friends. Now, I have a baby and I can see how this year is going to be super special, besides I have something to look forward to. The other day we took our family from Toronto, we live in Alberta, for a quick drive and Holy Smokes we saw a bear! Rummaging in the garbage, they are so huge. Alberta is so full of wonders, I mean in the nature sense. In a way I feel like I live in another level. I've eradicated the shopping sprees from my life and I have replaced them with long walks in nature, when I'm not sick of course.

Roses are red & Orchids are white

Image
There are two flowers I love more than anything in the world. I am going to repeat myself for reference's sake. Two flowers, I love more than anything, even more than pie itself. (I love pie, let me tell you) BUT I digress, anyhow I see them flowers and I start laughing that's how flower obsessed I am about this flowers. One of my favorite flowers is the red rose. Certainly, I am Latina and its very rare that you don't see a spanish girl sporting a red rose on her hair or depicted in murals across the city with a beautiful orchid or rose in her mane, vandalized from some garden in the town. Orchid, as you might have deduced has a a special place in my heart, let's just say in the flower world these two are surely, most definately my cup of tea. Here are two photos, I shot, one of them in my house in Cuba, and the other one is in Canada's Muttart conservatory.<3

Poutine Lovers Ahoy!

Image
No one has ever loved this recipe as much as I did, Mmm, it's so delicious. I love poutine. It's so sick. You know when you have cravings for a food and in the long run you end up getting it? I ate the crazed-dish, I finally had a chance to try this scrumptious delight. I particularly considered myself very full good taste, in this area. I am no creator of any apps called Epicurious or foodie.com by any means, but regardless of the fact that I wanted to eat this so ardently its a reason enough to try this new place a few blocks from where I'm living right now. This is originally from the French province of Quebec. Of course it was the french, who invented. If not then what? French people are so savvy in the kitchen, in the fashion world and lately in technology. France has the best medical health care system in the world. French doctors being on their top game. It's not everyday that you can treat yourself and your taste buds to this. If youre happy and you know it, t

Depression, The illness of a new era.

I remember when I was in elementary school they made us write the date at the top of every page. I still remember that very clearly. I remember that you had to write whatever year, after the corresponding date and such, and also include the type of age or era kind of, it was very bizarre. Like for example, I would write today's date and then right next to it, Age of Technology. In today's age and time, we are being afflicted by something our ancestors could have not predicted. In many medicine books and even doctors themselves could not have a diagnosis for all that afflicts our generation. The millenialls, so important it is for us to recognize it & talk about it. In an age where everything is at your fingertips how could we ever think about this disease that it is at our peril, it is something with a cause and effect. Everybody talks about it, yet nobody seems to overcome it. The feelings are too strong, usually taking some of us to the grave. Depression and mental health

1000 Cranes

Have you ever wandered into the incredible world of origami? I have. I recently got an origami kit as a present, origami is the japanese art of folding paper. If you have ever made a paper airplane for your kids or in your childhood you know what I'm saying. I've made my goal to make all one thousand of them that come in the kit. According to the legend behind the cranes, Sadako Sasaki who inpires people from all over the world to make the cranes. Was once hospitalized, and he wanted to get better obviously so he decided to start making a wish with every crane that he made, that why in today's time and age these modern origami creations are symbolic of peace and joy. Sadako felt like he wasn't at a loss while he was in the hospital, finally he reached healing and his story has moved thousands, and has moved around the globe. As a story about healing and hope. This is a great moral and I find its a great activity to do with your children. What am I doing in a hospital? H

Joy & Sorrow

They say that Joy & Sorrow are the distinguishing marks of whats beneficial for you and for your families and whats harmful. In theory, this dates back to the philosophies of hedonism, I am a hedonist, which means that I pursue the pleasures of life and do everything possible to achieve all of the amount of contentedness that is available to me and my family. The name derives from the Greek word: "delight". If you are not familiar with the word hedonist, you are not the only one. I believe that the pursuit of intrinsic good is the ultimate goal of human nature. I strongly believe that you are entitled to this right. Or even by altruistic acts, which demonstrates not only your capacity to feel pleasure for yourself only but also for others. <3

Theo Roosevelt

President Theodore Roosevelt poignantly said: "Good to the last drop" I concur, Theo, I concur. It wasn't long until the Maxwell House Hotel took this and made it part of their slogan that has profited for years and for many years to come. Talk about god damm plagiarism, I'm losing my mind here. In the 1880's The Maxwell House slogan, I wondered if anyone ever considered plagiarism as: "let's just enjoy right here, right now, let it be" People in the late 1880's didn't care about anything. Except for racism there lives were for the most part aside from traveling in a horse and a buggie very relaxing. See now came the 2000's that's when things became irreparably rough. I am a Nesspresso kind of gal. When you offer me a coffee and a good bit of juicy coffee I am a happy girl. Paradise food for me include, pizza, coffee & sushi. That will just take food to the next level. I also love latte art, like creating ferns and hearts, these p

Christmas coffee tradizionale

Image
You ever aware of the fact that certain companies create their own concoctions of specialty brews during Holiday Season? HO HO HO, Merry Christmas! I keep seeing this in every Starbucks or Coffee time. "Chocolate Swiss Almond "Amaretto Creme" "French Vanilla & "Georgia Pecan" Hello? Are you salivating yet? Okay, I am too. Hey, Christmas season is not only the most profitable time of year and the season when most folks take anti-depressant meds, just kidding. However, joke aside my friends, did you know that? and this is a scary fact guys depression just happens to be at it's highest during Christmas time. The coffee industry has risen in the last couple of decades, now I can barely walk to one street corner without spotting a Starbucks or Tim Horton's sign. Many Canadians indentify with a Tim Horton's coffee. It has stirred up a coffee subculture that prevails in many parts of the country, from generation to generation. Even famous TV perso

Coffee Veritas: There is truth in Coffee

Did you guys know that Coffee was not only considered a stimulant but it was also considered Satan's drank. Bring me that sweet libation, what then? then it went to become a diabolic drink. ( Maniacal laughter) During the Roman Catholic rule it went to become a drug prescribed by doctors in Venice, imagine if that was the current order of affairs. I would lose it. It would be something like whats becoming of marihuana. It was considered a dangerous stimulant, to the surprise of many the Pope enjoyed the taste of coffee. I wonder how does the Pope takes his coffee? AND the surprise came when Pope Clement VIII in 1592 enjoyed his coffee so much that he baptized it so that everyone could enjoy it. Thank you for this Popey :) AND ultimately, consume it without a prescription. Imagine going to your pharmacist with your coffee prescription every morning. Or even when you apply for a job on Indeed.ca including it in your Linkedin profile, currently taking coffee prescriptions on many tast

How I make the best out of Winter gloomy days.

Hi, how are you my friends? I hope ya'll enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Netflix is the cure for all of your issues this winter. Just slap on a couple of hot socks and BOOM! There you have it! Or even call up some friends, and have a famous, reputable, Netflix and chill kind of night, I have to be honest with you. I didn't see why so many people were into this new era tradition. But honest to goodness, now I can see it. Here it is an app that lets you control what is sitting in front of you. I can see why after a day of long hard work, driving, being stuck in traffic and someone yelling at you or even that pizza delivery order not making it on time by the time you get home, or your laundry not being folded properly by your favorite chinese laundromat person on duty. I can see why it is that all you want to do is sit down and put on your favorite show with a bowl of buttered popcorn. I was just watching a documentary last night and it said that stress doubles if you are

How you can get back on your feet after a high stress day.

Hello, it's another day. When you have childen it's complicated to make time yourself. Even older people with children have issues with that. Everyone. I think that everyone is looking for a creative outlet these days, and when things dont turn up, that creates massive levels of tiredness and stress. I think the tiredness is something easily eradicated with tons of sleeping. I am a big believer of the power of sleeping in your nice comfy bed with your favorite socks. When it comes to the stress levels. I have acquired accolades for stress management. Or so I though. I thought I'd challenge myself at something that I'm good at.  It's not television, it's not, even though I'm very good at it. As shame reverberates in my head, i know that watching long hours of TV is a bad habit. I don't know what it is, because I'm even not mindful of the food that I eat anymore, or even worse the chores that I carry out on a daily basis, are hardly carried out to thei

Chapstick is everything.

Hi! There is something so idyllic about chapstick. It reminds me of standing in front of a beach in the summer. I love the beach, as a matter of fact I come from a place where it's a never ending summer. The heat, the sun's powerful rays all damage your skin. Chapstick acts as a strong barrier, protecting us from the elements in nature. If it's SPF-15, it's even better for you. I didn't even know the benefits of chapstick until I got a Burt's BEE'S and I tell you the chapstick flavour wasn't my fav but it changed my life. For real. The wind and the ultraviolet rays can cause permanent direct damage. The pollution from cars can just add extra effect on the elasticity loss. Also, mind the collagen, yep you heard it right> It's what makes that extra skin tight. Chapstick contains salicylic acid, and they also make great little things to pull out from your bag. The skin is constantly being renewed, while we eat, sleep, bathe and drive our cars to and

Big Panda Palooza: BPP

Image
I love nature and animals. After all, in this day and age, animals are mainly consisting of the domesticated friends we keep in our homes. I do love wild animals. However, I like docile ones, like the Panda. I recently visited the Zoo, and I admired the Panda's lookout from a distance. Did you know that Pandas can live up to 15-20 years? And they can poop at least 6-7 times in a DAY! Since most of their diets is mainly composed of bamboo. Which, is 99 % the veggie they eat as a matter of fact. These animals are considered carnivores, and they have cat-like-pupils. These furry animals, furry and adorable. Pandas are so admirable but from a distance, don't ever feel like you have the need to come up close to one. It will certainly attack you and you will wind up in the hospital. It sure looks like it is a cuddly bear, but in this case it's more the latter than the former. I didn't get a chance to admire their beauty as much, because they were sleeping. As you might hav
