Black x Oolong & Roobois

Image
I told you guys in previous posts that I love Autumn. Because I can indulge in teas from all over the world. And read amazing books ❤❤❤. I'm particularly fond of Pablo Cohelo's The Alchemist and Veronika decides to die. I instantly connected & fell in love with his books. Because I am of Spanish descent and he is a very recognized Brazilian author. He is so incredible, that I bought all of his books. Anyhow, this is not the point of this article. I wanted to draw a clear distinction between Black, Oolong and Roobois teas because I don't think many people don't know the difference. Here it is: Oolong is a famous one in the tea lovers world, it's pronounced Wu-Long, like a histerical sounding Chinese name. I really like this one because it is very aromatic & smooth. Oolongs are among some of the worlds most expensive. They have a wide array of flavours. Southeastern China and Taiwan are the major top producers of this type of tea. I like the tea notes becau

Coffee

Image
I respect everybody's beliefs. Especially those about honesty. I have to be honest with you guys. I love coffee. But you want to know something? I have no idea why some people hate coffee. How in the world is that even possible? Unpredictability is everywhere. I mean, you don't know what the weather is going to be like tomorrow? There are so many things that are going on in the world. For example, let's take Trump. I think the media is really hard on him. There are a lot of issues scourring his presidency and how long will he last. Is he even going to the be the President of the United States of America to full term? It's all in the cards. I just wanted to make a point of how everything is so fucking uncertain. Like when did people become so sensitive? Maybe it is just me. My only issue is why do people dislike coffee? What's to hate about it? Is it the quality of the coffee? I personally love coffee. I am going to tell you something I think it's embarrassing. I

It's time to get fit X healthy

Once again, I'm back at the gym. I can't wait to get healthy and back into shape. I started boot camp and yoga. What truly defines beauty in America? Is it the shape of your figure? A skinny body? Or a beautiful face. A sexy glow? I would like to hear your opinions. I'm very curious. Is that Jennifer Lopez prototype still in place my friends? The big booty, Latina with the glow even with the whole history of numerous dating stories in Hollywood? I mean, let's be cool about it. Doesn't it sound weird that she's had like, so many relationships and one after the other? I mean, how real can Jenny from the Block be? I mean judging by the big fishes she's trapping these days. A lister A-Rod, I mean, I thought she had like two kids or something. Does she bring them with her in tow everywhere she goes in case she meets someone new? I'm not a hater, I just like to be a motivator, and in Hollywood these days those are rare. Gwyneth Paltrow, for example she is a me

Green Tea & Chinese herbal therapies

Image
Chinese medicine is awesome I'm I right? I know it is, because I'm so into Holistic medicine and herbal treatments. There are a myriad of teas that are so good for you. I particularly like to drink green tea. Sipping until its nearly time to go to bed. Good for you and high in antioxidants. Green tea is an ancient tea. It does not create caffeine dependency. And talk about all of the added benefits drinking green tea has on you i system. You have to go to town when you're buying this tea. I mean like make it a day and go to the China Town in your city if it has one. I shot this photos on the day I went to the Chinese Supermarket to buy my tea. Anyways, I wish you good Luck and get home safe!

Health & Fitness

Image
Everybody wants to be fit. Nobody wants to do the work. Don't you think? I'm a huge believer in finding pure bliss in our daily workout routines. I'm the type of person that gets bored quickly with the same routine everyday. I like to switch it up. For example, I like to do a combination of yoga, walking, spinning, cycling. because I get bored if I do the same thing or if I stay sitting around the house. I like to be active around the clock, it also depends on how Im feeling that day. But regardless, rain or shine I like to be outdoors and being active. If there is anything you like to ask me, ask me anything. Reiky, yoga, Ayurveda, meditation holistic treatments, massage therapy etc.

Autumn

Image
Autumn is finally here! Isn't that great my friends? I love autumn. It's one of those seasons that never goes out of style. Im so thankful I live in a country like Canada. Because I love the four seasons. I love fall time though. It just brings me memories of apple picking at the orchard, leaves falling from all of the trees, pretty streets and fall cozy sweaters. I absolutely love buying scented candles and running a bath and jumping in, then after I watch a nice movie with my family and put on some really nice socks. This is how I like to spend a perfect autumn day. In the evenings, since I live in the West Coast the temperatures drop like massive. It's usually -1 or lower. But, the cold doesn't stop me. I like to go outside and look at the wonderful world I live in. I like to collect mushrooms, and look at the irridescent fall show that Mother nature puts on for us. In the West it gets cold pretty quickly but I like to do things with my family. Like for example, goin

Rose tea

Image
I am a massive lover of tea. I've included in my accolades of tea, many numerous different type of teas. In the olden times, teas were seen or as many would consider something for royalty. I'm going to be honest with you. I just recently had a baby, and like many moms out there. Im always, working, working, working. I also struggle to lose the weight post-pregnancy. I had my baby right after my wedding. I am so taken back by the weight loss journey that it feels like it is hectic routine rather putting that energy towards things that I could be doing to have fun. I always tell myself, it will come off naturally. Because the baby weight on celebrities comes off so easy right after. But hey, I forget to include the fact that celebrities have personal trainers, strict dietary regimes and to attract the public they play an important role in the way the public perceives them, also include photoshop and intense training sessions.  I cant eat like a mouse, I told myself. Yea, I abso

Holy Smokes, I saw an ELK!

Image
I saw an Elk. Holy Smokes, they are remarkable. Specially their fur coat. It meets the demands of the winter months in Canada. The snow can circle on their outer hair without melting. During the harsh winters, these animals must find solace from the cold wind in the American Prairie somewhere right? They are like highly evolved horses. I wouldn't be a happy Elkie if I had to spend a cold winter night isolated from the herd. Anyways, I digress, I love this picture because I thought the Elk's horns gave him some distinction. I love the way he was looking at me. He was hiding in the grasslands as opposed to the Moose we saw later on in the open Prairie. With it's legendary reputation for being Santa's animal for delivering presents. This Elk remained far away from his herd eating grass very swiftly. He showed some versatility while posing for a picture and eating grass. Which I thought was excellent. At the same time he allowed me to get closer while he was grazing, as i

Wild Adventures

Lake Louise and Banff are supposed to be considered the dynamos in the West. Calgary and Edmonton are one of those provinces whose main attractions rest up in the mountains. Once I got settled in the West, I decided to pay a visit to Banff and Lake Louise. Since I've heard marvelous stories from my friends, domestic and international. I've seen the moose before, but I never knew this large animal was almost considered the national animal in Canada. Along with wolfes and bears. But hey, how dangerous can a Wolfie be? just kidding. I love wolfes, they are so highly intelligent. Specially the stuff you see in those documentaries about the Alpha males leading the pack and covering huge distances in search of food. They can cover 200 km in one single day even travelling through ice and snow. Wolfes can move efficiently even when faced with deep snow. I love Wolfes because they know how to mark their turf and they are fierce defenders of their borders. The dynamic Wolfe howl is kn

Madame's boudoir

Image
France is synonymous with sophisticated style and with meticulous craftsmanship of the highest order. Louis XIV's creation of Versailles exemplifies this striving for magnificence. A design Tour de Force, with its glittering Hall of Mirrors. I shot this pic of our tiny friend Zulya in one of our tours through the countryside in France. But, don't be fooled my dear friends, because size is not everything. In France they have a ritual, for France May Day's holiday. Vendors on every corner offer lilies of the valley. Simple bouquets with delicate white blossoms are artfully composed.  When a lady is presented with this flowers she traditionally returns the gesture with a kiss. Don't be fooled by these tiny flowers; their fragrance even though not as potent can fragrance a whole entire room of the house. Aromatic lillies of the valley, not only add a fragrance but they add a feminine touch to any Madame's budouir like scented candles, sachets and flowers. They add an au

Quit worrying

Image
So, we need to quit worrying. In todays age and time, we worry about everything. Its not some mystical thing. We do, we have been coined as the worriers of our generations. So, first we need to go into a relaxation mode. I don't mean hopping on the next flight and pretend you're Dora the freaking explorer. But I mean, relaxation. You need to enter the gates to Chill town. There only one person in charge, that's right! You see him? It's you!! What if it was like in the movies with a touch of realness to it. Do you think the mayor of Chill town would be there to answer any concerns you have about our bodies? Basically, we gotta start treating our bodies like we made it to Chill town. You wear the boots! picture it as a monkey, wearing, thats right, red boots! Have you ever thought about what life would be without like, evertyime you slip on the boots? If there were little or nothing to worry about. Have a try! Have you ever seen the movie The Lion King? Hakuna Matata

Pain is passed on to families, until someone is ready to feel it.

Image
Russian Orthodox Church Santa Barbara in a Hilltop in Edmonton, Alberta. We live on a planet. Does anybody knows what is it called? Mercury? Nope. Planets, are celestial bodies. They are made of gas, and rocks. Even though they are in the sky. They are not very different from our physical bodies. Pain is inconsequential. It does not follow a family tree. It is ready to pounce. It is open, it is very receptive. It's an old mystery. In olden times, pain was treated very differently. In today's age and time the tech industry is so revolutionary that you barely can account for the time that you had to spent in your local emergency room. The time that we have to deal with pain has been greatly reduced. We got large advances in our medical fields. The expansion of astronomy has been able to enhance the way we see the world and the universe around us. In the olden days, we didn't have much. Now, we have, roundabouts, robots and race cars. If you're beaten down you can take

India, land of many Gods

Image
The Tree of Life as depicted on a painting in The Butchard Gardens in Vancouver, British Columbia India is a country of many ancient traditions. I truly like the elaborate rituals, textiles and bustling gem palaces. Modern trends don't run so highly in this place.  But they are merely a passing fad. India is a place of strong opposites. Where the modern day people and the ancient healing worlds collide filled with color and flavor. The blogger in me wanted to visit this remarkable country 2 years ago. However, I don't think I would have been quite a smashing hit since I don't speak not even one the hundreds of dialects much needed, at least to my knowledge in order to mingle with the locals. I would have not made it there. Emphasis on the wouldn't have. Furthermore, I never gave up. I was on a mission. And altough I can say that I exhausted all of my resources. It was important for me to go to India. Or nonetheless, to learn from it. Because I enjoy quite a lot lear

Marigolds

Image
Nature is so unbelievable. In nature everything can be found. Marigolds especially, they give us precious drops from which essential oils are extracted, and the flower itself acts as a repellents. In India, Marigolds are used in weddings and are thought of as a highly decorative plant. They are used in many ceremonies. Marigold in hues of burnt orange are seen in temples all over the country around their many deities and goddesses necks and lemon yellow are usually adorning Indian women's hair. IN combination with their darker complexion creates a very alluring look. These flowers are very, very abundant in India. In Cuba, however, an island in the Caribbean. They are used mainly in funerals. In crowns, or wreaths of flowers that are part of the offerings to dead. Mexico, also shares this tradition. They are parts of the flower heads used in many rituals and ceremonies. Made into garlands and offered to Gods and honored guests. Along with their traditions and the use of Marigolds

Flowers, please! Oui, Oui!

Image
First and foremost, I'd like to say that pretty is highly underestimated. Pretty flowers are everywhere-in vases in a kitchen, cut crystal decanters, and perfume bottles. Do you realize that people today are not accustomed to bring flowers or to give flowers? Even in a couple who is married. It is so rare to find couples giving each other a pink rose. Regardless of the occasion. Is easier not to show up with anything, right? Chivalry is dead, I think so. I do believe that giving flowers is one of the most important things in a relationship. I think it is way up there in a nest, next to loyalty and trust. Perhaps, it should be more important that trust. Because when you give flowers to someone, you have to have feelings for that person. They are truly unique and important for you. Think about it. If you don't care about a person, you don't put too much effort in the relationship. Even less care about giving them flowers. If I were in the ancient times, like Cleopatras age I

Adventures: The joy of Life

Image
Adventures are like the art de vivre. And French people know what they are talking about with their french macarons and their joie de vivre which they so seemingly seem to flaunt in the air so carelessly. To be honest with you. I think, they are the definition of living well, class and sophisticated taste in everything that ranges from fashion, culture, arts and delicious treats. French culture is unbelievable. I don't think I'm ever satiated with the divine myriad of things this marvelous heritage has in store. Great French design in everything is what inspired me to create this blog. French heritage is classy. I love brands like Dior, well I don't love it, I think Dior is tres chic, therefore J'adore Dior. With a legendary sense of style and elegance, they are also well-known for chic couture. Like Channel, pretty flowers are everywhere in the French countryside. If you visit, make sure you do it in springtime. The look of cherry blossoms in the Eiffel tower is
